  • The Mother’s Day menu in casa di Gatti was sauteed salmon with a dill cream sauce. Turned out well. Not Alaskan salmon but good nonetheless. #
  • Last night’s SNL with Betty White was the funniest episode I’ve seen in a few years. “Wizard of Ass!!!” #
  • It feels more like Fall than Spring outside, so what the heck, I broke out the pumpkin spice coffee this morning. #
  • I realized we finally get @discovery in HD. @DeadliestCatch is even better in this way. #
  • I just ordered some postage stamps to support shelter animals. Get some at http://stampstotherescue.com. #
  • Public Service Notice: Jersey strawberries are now out at the farm stands. http://twitpic.com/1nztwd #
  • Just finished landscaping Stroup Manor. #
  • Exhausting but productive day. Rewarding myself with a Wawa hoagie… on whole wheat. Even when I splurge I’m responsible to a fault. #

  • @ebrantner Congrats! in reply to ebrantner #
  • Cooked the steelhead trout tonight with an orange shallot sauce. Turned out well but I need to cut the sweetness a little next time. #
  • RT @patricknorton: “FCC opens up a can of regulatory whoop ass on Broadband… hope Comcast enjoyed that court win: http://bit.ly/9DCnje" #
  • Tonight I went to one carnival for dinner and another carnival for dessert. Fine dining it’s not, but sure is good. #
  • Went to Ninety Nine for dinner. Both the food and service were mediocre at best. #
  • Don’t forget to put out non-perishable food for your mailman to collect today. No he’s not hungry, the USPS is collecting for the needy. #
  • Got up extra early this morning to get stuck with a needle. The weekend can only get better from here! #
  • The bloodletting is done & I stayed conscious. Now back to my regularly scheduled weekend. #

Another way to help

Category: Interesting Links,Life — Posted by Michael at 0028

Donating online is probably still the easiest way to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina, but if you live in the Philadelphia area you also have another option.

NBC10 and Wawa are sponsoring a program where you can print out a ccoupon that you can have the cashier at Wawa scan and the donation will be charged to your purchase.

Download the coupons here.

Red CrossUnless you’ve spent the past few days in a cave, you know that the City of New Orleans has basically been wiped out by the flooding that has followed Hurricane Katrina.
