  • Went to a fall festival and painted a giant blue stripe around the guest bedroom today. Bet no one can say “me too” about that! #
  • Corn stalks. Check. Mums. Check. Pumpkins. Check. Hay bale. Check. Fall decorating complete. #
  • I had to stop for a flock of wild turkeys wandering on my block this morning. That was a first. #
  • Made 8 pounds of Buffalo wings tonight and took them to my grandfather’s house for dinner. (Not related to the turkey tweet earlier today.) #
  • The farmer at Orchardview Farm was 100% correct. Fall Jersey corn really is sweeter than the spring/summer corn. Who knew? #

TurkeyWe all know what Thanksgiving dinner means. It means cooking a turkey, some stuffing, a variety of vegetables, probably some sweet potatoes and biscuits. Oh and don’t forget the cranberry sauce. Dessert brings pumpkin pie and maybe some egg nog to start off the holiday season.

You’ve eaten this combination every year of your life but do you know why? Check out this article on CNN to learn more about this holiday tradition.

Happy Thanksgiving!
