Penn Alps & Spruce Forest June 2009 While on a trip to Western Maryland and West Virginia, we stopped by the Penn alps resteraunt. It's a really cool German/Pennsylvania Dutch restaurant that has been in operation for decades. The food was delicious and plentiful. Adjacent to it is the Spruce Forest artisans' village, the Yoder house and the historic Casselman Bridge which once carried the National Road.
