Winterthur at Christmas December 2006 Winterthur was originally the home of Henry Francis DuPont. Situated in the Brandywine Valley just north of Wilmington, Delaware, it's great place to spend a day any time of year. However, when Beth and I visited it was the Christas season which made it even better. A Christmas tour of the house and a walk through the huge naturalistic gardens in the crisp winter air made the day so much fun! we both were both so in the Christmas spirit by the time we left.
